As a consultant, Dennis's clients include such Fortune 500 firms as DuPont, Philip Morris, USA, MCI Communications, TRW Systems, J. P. Morgan, Reynolds Metals, Alcoa, and Texas Instruments. Other private sector clients include Texaco Canada, Crestar Bank, MITRE Corporation, Circuit City Stores, S&K, Virginia Power, Richfood, Inc., AES Consulting Engineers and St. John's Hospital. Public sector clients include a large DOD intelligence agency, NASA, the Department of Veteran's Affairs (various Medical Centers), the Commonwealth of Virginia (various agencies), Henrico County (Virginia), the Cities of Chesapeake, Falls Church, Portsmouth and Richmond (Virginia), as well as several colleges and universities.
Dennis' many published training packages include: "Interviewing and Selecting", "Giving Bad News", "Face-to-Face" and "Delegation" (produced and marketed world-wide by International Training Corporation), as well as "How to Participate in the Performance Management Process - The Manager's Role", "How to Participate in the Performance Management Process - the Employee's Role", "How to Receive a Delegated Assignment", "PRIME Match" (an Upward Feedback Process), and the "PRIME Peer Feedback System."
Dennis is a former American Society for Training and Development Chapter Board President and Regional Conference Program Chair. He is a national member of the Society for Human Resource Management and served on the Richmond Urban League Board for six years, including a term as Board President. He is a past Co-President for the Carillon Civic Association and is a trained facilitator with "Hope in the Cities". He has held several key leadership roles as a volunteer with Leadership Metro Richmond related to planning and conducting leadership conferences and retreats.
When he is not consulting or volunteering, Dennis engages in competitive distance running, where he has won local and regional races, as well as National Gold & Silver Age Group medals in races sanctioned by The Athletics Congress (TAC).
